Serving Hatfield Since 2015
I have had the honour of representing Hatfield Central Ward since 2015. Having lived in Hatfield for over 24 years with my young family, I understand first-hand the challenges and opportunities facing our community.

My commitment is simple: to be a strong and effective voice for residents at Welwyn Hatfield Council, working to build a fairer, safer, and more connected borough.
ROOTED IN THE COMMUNITY
Hatfield is not just the area I represent — it is home. Living and raising my family here has shaped my understanding of local issues, from housing and public services to community safety and youth opportunities.

I believe effective leadership begins with listening. Through regular advice surgeries, community meetings, and year-round engagement, I remain accessible and accountable to residents.
LEADERSHIP & PUBLIC SERVICE
Since first being elected, I have worked to strengthen Labour’s presence in Welwyn Hatfield and to deliver meaningful progress for residents.

In 2023, I had the privilege of serving as Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield — becoming the first Labour and British Indian Mayor of the borough. This milestone reflected our borough’s diversity and shared commitment to inclusion.

This historic achievement was recognised in Hansard (House of Commons), where Welwyn Hatfield MP Andrew Lewin and Trade Minister Douglas Alexander commended my contributions to the community.
